About Me:

I had been due to start work in September 2006 at Curve Studios, Curve have been unable to hire me as yet due to financial problems, they are still keen for me to start when they can afford it. However I need to progress in my career as a 3D artist, and am seeking employment elsewhere.

I recently graduated from Southampton Solent University, having studied a BA(Hons) in Computer and Video games, and seek a position in the Computer Games Industry.

At University I learnt to use 3D Studio Max and Photoshop, designing, building, texturing and animating both 3D Characters and Environments (Levels), before joining the course 3D artwork was, and continues to be my main interest and hobby.
I feel my main strengths are Environments (Levels and Props) and 2D artwork (Textures).

I have also spent significant time creating 3D environments using WorldCraft (Now known as "Valve Hammer"), specific to Half-Life (Both 1 and 2) and its modifications. Including the widely known Counter-Strike, Pirates Vikings and Knights and Half-Life Rally.

I have also used the Source Engine for Half-Life2 creating my final year project, as well as supporting the “Pirates Vikings and Knights 2” mod in its production, creating props and environments.

As well as 3DS Max and Photoshop I have also spent time learning the basics of Visual Basic, and Visual C++, and have comprehensive knowledge of HTML, having Designed and built my own website (www.planethalflife.com/quest/) for the Modification I lead known as Quest (Published in PC Zone, BeNeLux). A Multiplayer Online RPG for Half-Life. I have been using Worldcraft/Hammer since 1998 when Half-Life was first released and have continued to use it since.

Skill and Achievements:

Third Year Student Representative – voted by fellow students to represent them, my tasks involved attending regular meetings and discussing other class members concerns.

I recently attended the Brighton Develop Conference, as the representative of the third and final year, I organised the University getting a stand there, as well as helping set up and running the stand. I also set up and run an online forum where students on the course can help each other with artwork. As well as give advice, help and suggestions to each other for improvement.
